Pure Melodrama

PURE MELODRAMA is a 21-piece visual journey. Inspired by Lorde, these works are intended to be visual representations of the lyrics, sounds, and emotions conveyed on her two studio albums “Pure Heroine” and “Melodrama" through the pairing of photography and design. Every piece of PURE MELODRAMA was photographed, created, and thoughtfully compiled to highlight a visual interpretation of the songs. Throughout the project, the typeface and statue motifs—which are subtle representations of Lorde—are repeated to convey a since of unity and clarity.
